V-Bar Tricep Pushdown

A cable tricep pushdown using a V-handle, which locks the wrists in a pronated, slightly-angled position and loads the lateral head.

Instructions

  1. 01

    Attach a V-bar handle to a high cable pulley.

  2. 02

    Stand facing the stack and grip the V-bar with both hands, palms down.

  3. 03

    Start with the elbows tucked to the sides, forearms parallel to the floor.

  4. 04

    Press the handle down until the arms are fully extended.

  5. 05

    Squeeze the triceps, then return under control to the starting position.

  6. 06

    Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions.
